Our Motto is FRIENDSHIP, FITNESS and FUN.
We are a friendly group always ready to welcome new breast cancer survivors, their family members and carers. On the water we get together to enjoy dragon boating, on land we organise social events for our members last one being a visit to the Nan Tien Temple. We have recently celebrated our 20th Birthday.
We are involved in local community events e.g. Relay for Life, and we speak to local community groups not only passing on information as to how our ‘Quality of Life’ has improved since we have been involved in a dragon boating group and providing information on Breast Cancer Network Australia and Dragons Abreast Australia.
We have the opportunity to paddle up to four times a week at the Illawarra Rowing Centre.
Time: Monday and Wednesday 6-7pm (winter months 5-6pm) on the water & Saturday and Sunday 8.15 – 9.45am on the water. We arrive 30 minutes before hand to get organised.
We have a designated PINK PADDLE on the first Saturday of the month 8.15 to 9.15am, we encourage the paddlers to wear pink. This is followed by a delicious Morning Tea.
