Our foundation, major and supporting partners help us deliver our purpose to ensure that all Australians affected by breast cancer receive the very best care, treatment and support.
Since 2000, Bakers Delight and BCNA have been working together to support Australians affected by breast cancer. Over this time Bakers Delight, their network of franchisees, and their customers have generously donated significant funds and pro-bono services to BCNA.
Since our partnership began, Bakers Delight has baked, iced and sold over 13 million Pink Buns, raising more than $25 million to help BCNA support thousands of Australians and their families through their breast cancer journey. Most recently, Bakers Delight stood beside us as a major event partner for our sixth Field of Women in 2023, BCNA’s 25th Anniversary year.
Since 2004, Berlei and BCNA have been proud partners, working together with a common vision to help every woman feel secure in the belief that nothing can hold her back. This shared vision has resulted in the development of a post-surgery support kit called the My Care Kit.
The My Care Kit, is a free kit to help support women in the first 12 weeks after surgery. It contains a Berlei Post-Surgery Bra that’s been specifically designed to be worn in the immediate recovery period, soft form/s, and essential information to help women navigate this challenging period.
Since the development of the My Care Kit program, Berlei and BCNA have donated over 200,000 kits, and continue to donate over 10,000 kits each year to support women undergoing breast cancer surgery.
In 2016 and 2018, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Berlei, together with the I Touch Myself Project united for a common purpose; to raise awareness about the importance of early detection. Tennis champion, Serena Williams, starred in the 2018 campaign where she sang the Divinyls hit ‘I Touch Myself’, reaching woman all around the world with the important breast health message.
In 2021, Berlei and BCNA launched a campaign encouraging all Australians to support those affected by breast cancer. The campaign featured Marcia Hines’ hit song ‘You’ and starred BCNA Ambassadors Raelene Boyle, Stuart Diver and Aunty Pam Pederson as well as BCNA members from around Australia. The campaign celebrated the different ways that support can help those affected by breast cancer. As part of the campaign Berlei released a range of bras under the Pink Bra Collection, where $10 from each bra sold was donated to BCNA.
Every year during the month of October, Berlei will release a new Pink Bra Collection and campaign to continue to raise awareness of and funds for BCNA.
Since 2005, Sussan has raised more than $3 million to support BCNA’s services and resources.
