BreastScreen Australia Program

BreastScreen Australia, established in 1991, actively invites women in the target age range of 50-69 years to undergo free biennial screening mammograms. Women 40 years of age and older are also eligible to attend this free service.

BreastScreen Australia operates in over 600 metropolitan, regional, rural and remote locations via fixed, relocatable and mobile screening services.

Women 40 years of age and over without signs or symptoms of breast cancer can make an appointment for a free screening mammogram in their local area by phoning BreastScreen Australia on 13 20 50.

BreastScreen is managed at a state level and therefore can operate slightly differently in each state and territory.
