Clinical trials look at the new ways to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for people with cancer. Yet the decision to participate in a clinical trial can be challenging.
Cancer Council Victoria is hosting a free webinar at 6 pm (AEST) on the 28th of August to help you gain a better understanding of why clinical trials are important and what it means to get involved. The webinar will also explore some of the common myths around participation and highlight the role of trials in cancer care.
Three presenters have volunteered their time to share their experiences as patients and health professionals involved in clinical trials. Their knowledge and experiences will:
* provide an introduction to cancer clinical trials,
* explore different channels for reliable information and support,
* help you start the conversation about clinical trials with your doctor. For more information and to register your interest click here.
Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions they would like addressed, as well as participate in an interactive Q&A session at the end of the presentations.
