Breast surgery and reconstruction

BRECONDA

We want to let you know that BRECONDA, our breast reconstruction decision aid tool, is no longer being updated and has been retired. We’re so grateful for all the years it helped people make decisions, and especially for all the feedback from consumers and healthcare professionals that made it a trusted resource.

What’s next: BCNA's new breast surgery and reconstruction content

To ensure you have the most current, complete and consumer-informed information, we’ve expanded our Breast surgery and reconstruction content on the Information & Resources Hub. This updated content has been carefully reviewed by the Australian Access to Breast Reconstruction Collaborative Group (AABRCG) and by our BCNA lived experience consumers.

We’ve designed it to help you

  • Understand all your surgery and reconstruction options after mastectomy
  • Compare benefits & considerations in a way that reflects real people’s experiences
  • Explore the latest evidence and what people tell us matters most
  • Feel supported and confident when talking things through with your surgeon

How to access our new resources

You can find all the updated surgery and reconstruction information in our Information & Resources Hub.
