Mummy's Wish

Mummy’s Wish is the only Australian charity dedicated to providing practical support to mums undergoing treatment for cancer while their children are young (under 12).

Since our charity began in 2007, Mummy’s Wish has grown to become a national organisation supporting mums with cancer right across Australia—regardless of their cancer type or where they live.

Following a referral, one of our Support Coordinators will contact you to discuss your individual circumstances and support needs, working with you to find practical ways to take the pressure off.

We’re YOUR support crew—here to help, not to take over.

Some of the ways we help families include:

• Access to a dedicated, experienced Support Coordinator who will provide tailored information to help you access as much support as possible during your treatment
• Providing practical support such as regular house cleaning or meal deliveries to families when mum is undergoing treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy
• Supplying books and other resources to help mums talk to their children about what they’re going through and how it may affect their family
• Providing a voice-recordable Comfort Bear for each child aged 12 years and under
• Providing access to a closed (registered mums only) Facebook group for mums to share their personal experiences
