Counterpart operates a Resource Centre which is staffed by trained Peer Support Volunteers, most of whom have experienced breast cancer. The volunteers work alongside Counterpart Program Officers. Women can drop in on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm or call the service on 1300 781 500. You can leave a message for a Peer Support Volunteer to call you back.
Counterpart also have information sessions, guest speakers, free exercise classes, free reflexology appointments and a resource library (where some books mentioned in the My Journey are available to browse or borrow). Resources can be posted to you and returned for free.
Counterpart's Making Connections program offers support and information to women living with secondary breast cancer. The program includes a regular ‘coffee & cupcakes’ morning teas and a series of information session on topics such as treatment options and stress and anxiety.
All services are free and offered to Victorians at any stage of their breast cancer experience.
