We are a very casual group, chatting about a variety of subjects in our beautiful surrounds in the country. We enjoy a light personal exercise programme and more chatting while we splash in a warm 20 meter pool.
We encourage all female cancer survivors to attend but most are breast. We have had many join and fulfil their needs before heading back to work, but have regular retired ladies coming each week.
The gained strength and flexibility through the movement in the water is so beneficial and new friendships are formed, knowledge and understanding gained and women are able to talk openly about their experiences with others who understand as they have ensured similar issues.
Our pool is privately owned, not open to the public, our usage is their “donation” to helping others and we are also involved with the holding of three Mini Fields of Women/Men during October/November in our local area.
Our Group has a project we work towards which is “The Care Bag”. We have three lovely ladies (outside the group) who make beautiful little shopping bags which we fill with useful items and always include a voucher for fuel, groceries, movie, massage etc. If possible we try and find out the appropriate needs.
