Mission Beach Information Forum

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) held an Information Forum in October 2023 for people diagnosed and living with breast cancer and their supporters in Mission Beach, Queensland.

The Information Forum covered topics including:

• current and emerging treatments
• sexual health
• strategies to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing.

We heard from two BCNA members, Angela and Sharon, about their lived experience.

Members were also advised of local support as well as learning more about BCNA’s services and resources.

• Dr Tonia Mezzini, Sexual Health Physician
• Jody Spicer, Exercise Physiologist
• Maebh Coleman, Physiotherapist
• Jessica Chenery, Metastatic Breast Care Nurse
• Kate Tracey, Breast Care Nurse. 

There were two simultaneous information sessions throughout the day – one for people with early breast cancer and one for people with metastatic breast cancer.
