Being diagnosed or undergoing treatment during the festive period can present unique challenges. You may have to wait longer for results or to see your specialist. This time of year can also impact your emotional wellbeing and can be isolating for some.
We have many resources that you can refer to during the holiday period to provide you with relevant information to help you feel supported.
BCNA’s Helpline is available until 5pm Tuesday 23 December (AEDT) and will reopen on Monday 5 January at 9am (AEDT).
During this time, you can request a call back from the Helpline team when we reopen by filling out this form.
You can also join My Journey, BCNA's online tool for people affected by breast cancer. In My Journey you can set up personalised content, track side effects, make notes to share with your treatment team, and access our Online Network, available 24/7 throughout the festive season if you want to connect with others affected by breast cancer.
Often the first few weeks following a breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. These My Journey articles for early breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer provide strategies to help. Many of these strategies have been suggested by people who have had their own breast cancer experience.
