For the first time, we know how many Australians are living with metastatic breast cancer and the number is double previous estimates. Today, there are 20,950 people living with the disease across the country. This confirms what many already know: the urgency for reform is real, and the needs are greater than ever.
Being counted is fundamental to being cared for. People living with MBC deserve better outcomes, informed policy, and a health system that reliably sees, tracks and supports them across their lifespan.
We're collecting 20,950 pledges for the 20,950 living with metastatic breast cancer today
By signing this pledge, you add your voice to a national push for improved cancer data registries so every person with metastatic breast cancer is counted.
To have the opportunity to present this pledge to Parliament and policymakers, we must provide full residential information for each supporter. For this reason, we require your name, address, state, email and phone number, ensuring your commitment is recognised and cannot be overlooked.
Together We Count pledge
“I stand with the 20,950 Australians living with metastatic breast cancer. I pledge to advocate for the mandatory, ongoing collection and sharing of information so that no one is invisible in our healthcare system. Together, we will turn numbers into knowledge and knowledge into action to transform people’s lives with better care. Let’s make the numbers count.”
