Review & Survey Group: Share your voice, shape the future

Have you been diagnosed with breast cancer and are looking for a flexible way to create change?

BCNA’s Review & Survey Group is an easy way to get involved. This national network of over 1,300 people with lived experience of breast cancer receives invitations to take part in research and feedback opportunities.

You choose what you want to be part of. Whether it’s a short survey, a trial, or giving feedback on new resources, your voice helps shape what comes next for others diagnosed.

Unlike our Seat at the Table program, there is no training required to join the Review and Survey Group. With the additional flexibility built into being a part of the Review and Survey Group, you can choose to engage as often and with as much time commitment as you are able.

What you'll do

As a member of the Review & Survey Group, you may be invited to:

• Complete surveys on breast cancer care or support services
• Take part in interviews, trials or focus groups for research projects
• Share feedback on information materials or BCNA resources
• Join pilot testing for new digital tools or support programs

You’ll receive email invitations each month. Participation is completely voluntary, and you can say yes or no to each opportunity.

Lived experience plays a critical role in improving breast cancer outcomes. Your feedback helps

• Make research more relevant and inclusive
• Improve the quality of patient information and services
• Ensure policy and advocacy efforts reflect real community needs

The Review & Survey Group has contributed to major studies including

• EMPOWER-SMS (supporting people after treatment) 
• Fear of Cancer Recurrence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
• Finding My Way (psychological wellbeing after cancer)

Who can join

This group is open to anyone who:

• Has had a breast cancer diagnosis (any type or stage)
• Is based in Australia
• Wants to help shape better outcomes through feedback
• No training is required, and there's no ongoing commitment.

We especially encourage people from underrepresented groups to join — including First Nations people, people living in rural or regional areas, those with metastatic breast cancer, and LGBTIQ+ communities.
