The online network includes people at different stages of their breast cancer journey, people living with metastatic breast cancer, partners, family and friends.

Why should you join the online network?

  • To access reliable information
  • To get practical support from someone who understands
  • To broaden your support network
  • To find encouragement and understanding
  • To get answers to the scary or embarrassing questions

And it doesn’t matter where you are in Australia. The online network is available 24/7.

What do people talk about?

Members talk about all the issues that emerge from a breast cancer diagnosis. They talk about chemotherapy, how to manage side effects, and cope with difficult emotions. They discuss breast reconstruction options, how to improve their fitness, and what it’s like to return to work. We also celebrate clear tests, the end of treatment, birthdays, and find laughter and joy in the little things.

Here’s what our members have to say:

I have never been much of a 'sharer' but on this forum, I find it easy, maybe because I don't have to sit face to face and look into someone else's eyes. I find I can hold it together fine until someone looks at me with sadness and sympathy and then I tend to crumble. – Sara
Don't worry about expressing your feelings on this site. We've all been there and understand the need to vent, please feel free to be yourself here. This is a safe place to say just how you're feeling – Tracy62
I'm glad I found this as well. It explains a lot of things in easy to understand terms and also you get to read other people’s stories, the lows and highs, tears and triumphs and offer support to them. I know my cancer story is only the beginning, but I'll be glad to know that I can come here and ask questions, or just let it out and not be judged or looked at in a funny way. – ScorpionQueen
The beauty of this site is you are never alone. You have no idea what a gift that is to me right now. – Barb
