Online research expression of interest form

BCNA Placeholder Bg

If you’d like to be considered for an activity to help us improve our online services, please complete the ‘expression of interest’ form. You can select as many activities as you like.

  1. Workshops
The workshops will mostly look at the functionality of setting up a BCNA profile and choosing the information you’d like to see as part of that account. We record participants in this activity. Desktop/laptop only.
    When: early May
    Duration: 60 to 90 minutes
Who’s involved: 6 participants in each workshop, plus 2 researchers and 2 BCNA observers
  2. Surveys
Online questionnaire with a mixture of choice and open text questions to help us understand what people expect and prefer in an account. Desktop/laptop or mobile.
When: mid May to early June
    Duration: 10 to 15 minutes
Who’s involved: participants complete the activity in their own time
  3. Interviews
We’ll ask about the Symptom Tracker and Notes features within My Journey, to find out how we can make improvements and raise awareness. You don’t have to be a current user of these tools. We record participants in this activity. Desktop/laptop only.
    When: Late May
    Duration: 45 to 60 minutes
Who’s involved: 1 participant, 2 researchers and 1 BCNA observer
  4. Usability Testing (with facilitator)
Moderated testing sessions gather feedback about how easy or intuitive features are to use and how people feel about the layout and design. We record participants in this activity. Desktop/laptop or mobile.
When: across mid May to end June
    Duration: 45 minutes
Who’s involved: 1 participant, 2 researchers and 1 BCNA observer
  5. Usability Testing (solo, no facilitator)
In an unmoderated testing session, participants provide feedback about how easy or intuitive features are to use and their views of the layout and design. We record the screen participants are using in this activity. Desktop/laptop only.
When: across mid May to end June
    Duration: 20 to 30 minutes
Who’s involved: participants complete the activity in their own time
  6. Website IA (structure) testing
To help us organise and label information in a way that makes it easy to find and use, we will test proposed changes to the website structure. We don’t record participants, only the options they choose and any notes they provide. Desktop/laptop or mobile.
    When: June
    Duration: 15 to 20 minutes
Who’s involved: participants complete the activity in their own time
