The Hope & Hurdles Pack is a free, comprehensive resource for women with secondary breast cancer. It was developed through extensive consultation with women living with secondary breast cancer and those who treat and care for them.

Information in the pack was recommended by other women who have had secondary breast cancer. They suggested topics that would help them, their family and friends during their journey with secondary breast cancer.

You will find quotes, photos, advice, recommendations and encouragement from many women who have been in a similar situation to what you're facing a the moment.

To order a Hope & Hurdles Pack

Once you have ordered a Hope & Hurdles Pack, it will be sent to you by mail free of charge. You should expect your pack to arrive within 10 days. 

Please note: The BCNA office is closed over the Christmas/New Year period. Orders for the Hope & Hurdles Pack placed after 21 December will be processed when the office re-opens on 3 January 2012.

  • Hope & Hurdles Information Guide -- a booklet with information about dealing with your diagnosis, treatments, support options, practical uses, and further contacts and resources for you and your family. It has many tips and suggestions from other women living with secondary breast cancer. It is designed for all women living with secondary breast cancer with sections to 'dip into' as needed.
  • Hope & Hurdles Personal Record -- a handbag sized booklet for recording your medical information, treatment, any side effects, questions for doctors, calendars, medical expenses and space for test results.
  • Messages of Hope and Inspiration for Women with Advanced Breast Cancer -- a booklet offering inspiration from other women who have ‘been there'.
  • She has secondary breast cancer - how can I support her? -- a brochure that helps family and friends understand secondary breast cancer with ideas on practical and emotional support for women and for  themselves.
  • Hope & Hurdles photographic catalogue -- a booklet featuring the varied lives of the women whose faces appear throughout the Information Guide.
  • When the Woman You Love has Advanced Breast Cancer -- produced by the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre, this CD is designed for male partners, although others may also find it helpful.
