Camden Survivors of Breast Cancer

Our membership

Camden Survivors of Breast Cancer Inc. is specifically designed to support women who have had or are currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer and who may have been subjected to either or all three treatment modes, ie, surgery, radiotherapy and drug therapy (chemotherapy/hormone treatment).

Prospective members are welcome to join the group by self-referral, or referred by community health nurses, general practitioners, surgeons, social workers and other Cancer related networks or organisations.

Our objectives

• To provide a confidential and supportive group atmosphere where survivors and their families living in the three local government areas of Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly can share their feelings and discuss issues relating to breast cancer.
• To assist people to resume their usual activities following breast cancer;
• To help people deal with changes in their self-esteem and body image;
• To be social, make new friends and get involved with the community.
