Young women podcast series
The challenges facing young women diagnosed with breast cancer are the topics discussed in a series of podcasts released by Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
Every day, two women aged between 20 and 39 will be diagnosed with breast cancer and forced to face questions about fertility, career, relationships and finances.
The three-podcast series features three BCNA members – Dimity Paul, Ruth Williams and Rebecca Benstead – talking candidly about how they faced and dealt with those issues.
They are the latest addition to the BCNA podcast library, offering a range of in-depth discussions, hints and tips from a variety of experts including health professionals and BCNA staff as well as women and men affected by breast cancer.
The podcasts are hosted by writer and former Nine News reporter Kellie Curtain. Her book, What Will I Wear To Your Funeral?, tells the story of her mother's diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer.
Eighteen episodes are now available for streaming and new episodes will be added fortnightly, adding another avenue for members to access advice and support any time on smartphone or computer.
