BCNA launches Christmas Appeal
Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) has launched its 2019 Christmas appeal.
This year’s appeal is built around the theme of helping people affected by a breast cancer diagnosis during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
‘There’s never a good time to receive a breast cancer diagnosis, but at Christmas it can quickly turn what should be a joyful time into a very lonely one,’ said BCNA CEO Kirsten Pilatti.
‘It can be made even harder by the fact that services designed to help people affected by breast cancer are shut down right at a time they are needed the most.’
BCNA’s campaign is aimed at bolstering services for women and men diagnosed over the Christmas period.
‘Through the Helpline, the My Journey online tool and the Online Network, BCNA will be there to help all Australians affected by breast cancer with the support they need when they need it.
‘The BCNA Christmas Appeal is a wonderful opportunity to help make Christmas a little less lonely for Australians affected by a breast cancer diagnosis,’ said Kirsten.
