Adelaide to host clinical trial Q&A
Breast Cancer Trials (BCT) will hold a Q&A event to explore current and future directions in breast cancer research and clinical trials in Adelaide on 24 July.
The event will he held during BCT’s annual scientific meeting for researchers, at Adelaide University’s Elder Hall from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
Mia Freedman, the co-founder of Australia’s largest women’s digital media company Mamamia, will host the event. It will also be broadcast live on Facebook.
The Q&A will feature a panel of breast cancer experts and trial participants. Topics for discussion will include current and future breast cancer research, clinical trials, research trends and what can be expected in future breast cancer research.
The panel includes the head of breast medical oncology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Associate Professor Prue Francis, BCT consumer advisory panel chair Ms Leslie Gilham, BCT directors Professor Sunil Lakhani and Associate Professor Nicholas Wilcken, specialist breast surgeon Dr Stuart McIntosh and oncologist Dr Nicholas Zdenkowski.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required to secure your seats. When registering for the event, attendees can submit a question or topic they would like answered or discussed on the night.
