Webcast: Hormone-blocking therapy – is it worth it?
BCNA’s latest webcast on hormone-blocking therapy (also known as endocrine therapy) proved one of its most popular to date, attracting more than 1000 registrations.
BCNA CEO Kirsten Pilatti was joined by medical oncologist Dr Richard de Boer, Martha Hickey, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Melbourne University and BCNA member Kate Keogh Murray.
The webcast explored the challenges posed by the possible side effects of hormone blocking therapy and advice for minimising any potential impact on quality of life. It included a number of questions from the participants.
The recorded webcast is now part of BCNA’s growing library that can be viewed at: https://www.bcna.org.au/understanding-breast-cancer/resources/webcasts/
