Jill Rowbotham appointed as BCNA State Development Manager in NSW
We are excited to announce that Jill Rowbotham has been appointed as BCNA’s New South Wales State Development Manager. The appointment is part of BCNA’s commitment to strengthening our presence nationally and follows the appointment of Margaret Jolly as Queensland State Development Manager in February.
Jill will support BCNA’s programs and events in New South Wales and help source new opportunities. Jill will also support BCNA’s Community Liaison program in New South Wales.
For the past 20 years Jill has worked at The Australian in a number of capacities from Chief of Staff at the Sydney and Perth Bureau to Deputy Editor of The Weekend Australian Magazine. She has reported on a wide range of issues including general news, religion and higher education, worked as a business journalist for Business Review Weekly and served as a foreign correspondent in London for four years.
Prior to working as a journalist, Jill worked as a teacher on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait and also served in the 1990s on the staff of Wayne Goss, the then Premier of Queensland, as personal assistant to his wife Roisin, supporting her charity work and other commitments.
Jill lives at North Epping in Sydney with her husband and two teenage children. She is passionate about the work of BCNA and has supported close family and friends through a cancer diagnosis.
Please join us in welcoming Jill to the BCNA team.
