Gold Coast Together Towards Tomorrow Survivorship Conference
We're pleased to announce our next Survivorship Conference will be held on the Gold Coast on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October 2019. Join us to learn about the latest in treatment and living well after a breast cancer diagnosis at the BCNA Together Towards Tomorrow Survivorship Conference.
Saturday 12 October
Early breast cancer conference 9.00 am – 3.30 pm
Registration 9.00 - 9.30 am. Conference from 9.30 am – 3.30 pm.
The early breast cancer conference will include topics such as breast reconstruction, the emotional impact of breast cancer, lymphoedema, diet, sexuality and sexual difficulties, and complementary and alternative therapies. We will also be joined by Olympian and breast cancer survivor Raelene Boyle who will share her personal breast cancer story.

Pink Lady Tribute Field Ceremony 4.00 - 6.00 pm
Saturday's conference program will be followed by a Pink Lady Tribute Field Ceremony and social drinks and canapes. The evening event will run from 4.00 - 6.00 pm and we encourage attendees from both days to attend.
Sunday 13 October
Metastatic breast cancer conference 9.30 am - 1.30 pm
Registration 9.30 – 10.00 am. Conference from 10.00 am – 1.30 pm.
The metastatic (secondary, advanced, stage 4) breast cancer conference is being held on Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. It will include topics such as the emotional impact of metastatic breast cancer, the role of the metastatic breast care nurse, sexuality and sexual difficulties, and diet and exercise. Cancer Australia will launch the Cancer Australia Statement - Influencing best practice in metastatic breast cancer at the conference. It is a summary of 10 practices that have been identified as appropriate or inappropriate for the provision of metastatic breast cancer care in Australia.

Travelling to the Together Towards Tomorrow conference will be an amazing experience. It is important to BCNA that while travelling and at the conference you look after your health. Please make sure you are well enough to travel to begin with and bring all your required medication. Your health care is your responsibility.
