That didn't go as planned
Not the best news. Was hoping for better.
Turns out it was not one lump but three. 1 x 21mm Grade 3; 1 x 8mm and 1 x 2-5mm both Grade 2.
Two out of two nodes from sentinel node biopsy both involved.
Stage 2B. E and P positive. Her2 status to follow.
DCIS throughout.
Shit. What else? Can't win a trick.
Back for auxilliary clearance surgery and off to see the oncologist.
Funny though, knowing somehow makes it easier. Like I know what I'm up against.
All will be revealed ... well some things anyway
After a longer than usual recall, wait to see the surgeon, then surgery - Tomorrow I see my surgeon for my pathology one week to the day since I had my wide local excision and sentinal node biopsy. Nervous much? Had a rather large meltdown tonight and a really good cry. Feel better. My husband god bless him held me, stroked my hair and said nothing. He's learning. He doesn't have to provide a solution. ( the 'must fix it' gene they all have) My girls are wonderful.
At the very beginning...
I'm here, putting this out there not knowing whats ahead, trying hard to get my head around the unknown. Results of Wide local excision and sentinel node biopsy is this Friday. Trying hard to not think about it as I know that from there my plan of management will come - not wanting it to happen but feeling like I'm being sucked into a vortex against my will.
Not sure blogging is my thing either - not much for talking about it but as it doesnt stop - the relentless swirling of thoughts in my head - just putting it out there...
