Hi all my pink sisters,  I thought I needed a change from the "old lady" perm - had to keep telling young people that it definately was not a perm!!!!  Anyway went back to my  longterm hairdresser and boy what a change.  I had permanent straightening (yes not too many chemicals), colouring and foils and some shaping into a nice style.  I love it.  She told me that "it" is at its most defined and as soon as the regrowth starts   "my do" will be fuller.

Hi all,  Haven't posted for a while - just been enjoying replying to others. We got some "not so welcome" news yesterday.  It was such a shock as I have been gradually getting stronger and looking forward to a large family holiday in Thailand next month to celebrate my nephew's wedding.  My husband had his regular doctor visit to check on his DVT.  He has been off Warfrin for a couple of months after struggling with the side effects most of the year. (had a DVT diagnosed last January)  Anyway after an ultrasound last evening he has been diagnosed with more DVT.

One year today

Hi all you lovlies,  Today I felt a bit off and annoyed with everything and everyone.  I even shed a tear on the way home from town.  Then it dawned on me - one year ago today I was re-diagnosed.  Tomorrow I will step over the threshold into good health!!!! I really feel like throwing away all the tablets (Arimidex plus all the vitamins to counteract the side effects) and all the specialists, GPs and therapists.  I want to be FREE of it all. When my husband and I head off down the highway heading to my family for Xmas in Brisbane I will feel FREE  at least.

Feeling "cleansed"

Hi all,  Went for my genetics testing results in Brisbane on Wednesday.  I am so pleased to report that I have a negative result on BRAC1 and BRAC2.  Of course this doesn't let me know why I got BC but it sure gives me, my girls, my granddaughter and my sisters some peace of mind.  This result has really changed how I am feeling at the moment.  I do feel "cleansed" of this curse.  In my mind I can say "I think my stressful lifestyle, including a horrible divorce, has been the major factor/s in my diagnosis".

The Pink Ladies are "walking"

Hi All,  I loaned some of "my" pink ladies to a friend for her "girls day in" last Friday.  They looked so lovely in her garden entrance.  Photos were taken and when her future daughter in law saw them, wanted to have the same effect at her pink gathering.  So the ladies are off to Mackay for the weekend.  Have had a great response to them in the shop windows where I placed them for the month.  I was actually taking photos of the window yesterday and saw for myself the attention that they attracted.
