Breast oedema and 'not quite' menopause
Hi all, I finished Radiotherapy at the end of July and once the burning healed I was feeling pretty good. But the last few weeks my boob has been really sore, with occasional shooting pains. Found out today I have breast oedema. I'd heard of lymph oedema but not breast. Wondering if anyone can shed light? I see a physio on Wednesday for massage and tips.
Anyone else had a staph infection from radiotherapy?
Well, half way through my radiotherapy and my sore, splitting skin is apparently a staph infection. I'm now on salt compresses, steroid cream, oral antibiotics and nurofen. I know it's not major, but it sucks and it's p***ing me off!
Has anybody else been through this? What did you do?
The BC nurses and oncologists are being fab and doing everything they can to help.
I'd love to know if others have had it and how it went? How long it took to clear up etc.
Any contributions welcome. I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself :(
And so it continues ...
So, Day 7 of radiotherapy and already my skin is splitting. It's like a heat rash under and between my breasts and is a bit uncomfortable.
Apparently it's quite common, but usually not so soon. The BC nurses have suggested salt water bathing. I'm doing that plus continuing to moisturise with QV. I'm keen to know of any other tips to keep it from getting any worse - or, better still, get rid of it!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all :)

Radiotherapy help
Hi, this is my first post. I started radiotherapy on Monday after 2 surgeries. I'm getting a funny taste in my mouth. Can anyone tell me if this is something they experienced?
Any other tips about the 5 - 6 weeks ahead of me would be much appreciated. Thanks :)
