Ok it's been a while. Hope you are all well.

I had a bunch of my best friends over last night, including my hairdresser. Went from armpit length hair to pixi short.

Lots of champaign, lots of laughs, a couple of tears.

I thought it would upset me, but taking control is very liberating and you know what, I actually look pretty good with short hair.

Chemo starts Friday, bring it on.

Hi all,Some advice please. I start chemo on 10/2/12. I intended on having a cropping with a few friends and of course champaign just before, my hairdresser will come over to my home.

I was chatting to someone at nippers today and she said not to jump the gun because I may not lose my hair. I dont know how she knows this. I will be having EC and then Paclitaxel and herceptin with some rads thrown in for good measure.

In hair loss a given? I thaught it was.

well finally after 3 weeks my drain is out. Went camping with drain in and although it was exhausting. It was our regular holiday, and Andrew an the kids needed some normality. Found out that there is no cancer in the other nodes, so even though its good news, I feel like the pain, hypersensitivity, numness and potential lymphodoema isnt necassary.(sounds like self pity I know) But someone needs to invent a test that can check before they do an axillary clearence.

See oncologist next Friday.

Hope you all had a great day. Happy all day, too much champagne melt down in the shower at the end of the day. Its exhausting keeping it all together.

I have to let my boss know about leave. How did you all manage chemo and work? Does it really knock you around or is it just an inconvenience?

Took the dog for a long walk to clear my head, and get some happy hormones pumping.

Husband asked if I was ok because I seemed a bit cranky, I told him I was terrified about surgery tomorrow and he said "you should be excited you are getting the tumor out"

NOT VERY HELPFUL
