First day of Radiation Treatment Over

Posted by Anne W on 11 Jan 2012, 10:14AM

So pleased to have my first day of treatment over!

The nurses and radiology people were very caring and helpful. I was introduced to all the people in the room this time and there was only one young male.

Only took about 30 minutes once I'd spoken to the nurse, changed and was setup.

Although well and truly overslept this morning - I think it must have been the release of anxiety.

Anyway one down and 24 to go!

One less on the road

HI Anne

Counting down ... good that you've only got 24 to go. You will be surprised how quickly the time passes.

Make sure you take good care of the skin.

The therapists are just so lovely, aren't they? They made it a joy for me to go every morning! Sounds strange, but it's true.

Best wishes

Jenny

Radiation Treatment

Thanks Jenny.

I've had three treatments now and I can't fault the staff. They appear to have quite a large team and I met two new therapists last night. They all ask me how I'm going with it all.

I'm going in the evenings. Last night I took my husband who came in to have a look at the procedure. He was surprised at how large the machine was. At least now he can understand a little more about the process.

Fourth treatment tonight before my weekend reprieve

Cheers
Anne
