life after chemo

I was diagnosed Nov 2011 at 33 years of age with DCIS and IDC (2).
I had lumpectomy and full axilla clearance, 6 rounds of chemo fortnightly and waiting for full mastectomy and reco mid May.
How do people deal with the fact that this could come back? I ahve 2 kids under 4 yo, and it breaks my heart when I think it could come back and I could possibly not be around for them
