Hi everyone

You're probably wondering why I haven't been blogging for a while....well unfortunately I was  utterley wiped out by my first round of Chemo as well as having serious problems with blood clots and the PICC line. I really have been in the wars!

Here's to my Journey! The Chemo begins.....

Well happy new year everyone and welcome to 2012!  I can't believe how quickly the time went but as usual at that time of year Christmas is chaotic while you try to finish your shopping and wrapping.  And it didn't help recovering from a major op either I must add!  Still we all had a great Christmas and I managed to get out twice leading up to the big day which was a great effort  - if I say so myself :) and it certainly helped me feel better.  Although I do admit to being very nervous the first first I went out for my husband's Xmas do.

Melbourne Cup Day

Although the weather left a lot to be desired we spent today with close friends having a BBQ and a good chat about what was ahead for me.  I think, and I hope, that it reassured them that I'm dealing with all of this pretty well and that I'm just waiting for the surgery to be over and done with and take it from there.

I had to ring a few more friends today and my uncle which was hard, as he lost his first wife to cancer.  He sounded very concerned but I did my best to reassure him I'll be fine.
