Well I've been doing the happy dance since last Thurday! I got some wonderful results at the hospital...the CT scan showed that all lung tumours have shrunk significantly, and some have even disappeared altogether, even the larger ones! There is no sign of any spread anywhere else in my body, which is a huge relief! I was hoping for a stable result, however this is fantastic news...I am over the moon...! :D

Thanks Alison....yes its a great result! For now I will go to 9 cycles of chemo (I've just finished cycle 6) and then be re-scanned to see how everything is going. I guess they will review my situation then. I've learned that anything is possible with this disease, so for now i am just celebrating the wonderful news, and will deal with the next review when it comes up. Take care, Celeste♥

Thank you Chris. Yes, I'm so pleased and relieved that things are going well and that they have found the right chemo regime for me.
It just goes to show that sometimes the most expected to work (popular) and most 'successful' treatment regime just doenst work for some people. Taxotere is supposed to be one of the 'better' drugs yet for me it didn't work after the first lot of scans. My cancer became resistant to it and spread to the bones, so I tried this lesser known chemo combination (vinorilbene) and whammo!...it is doing the job for me (for now anyway)!
Just wanted to share the good news and let others know not to give up...there are different drugs that work for different people, and finding the right drugs is the challenge!

How awesome. And while you were getting that news I was having another mastectomy and reconstruction. Which went sooooo Very Very well. When your plastic surgeon comes to you just as you have woken in recover with a massive smile on her face...you just know it went well. You know they are admiring their work!!
I am just so happy for you. Once I have recovered I will finally meet you at one of the lunches or coffee dates. I cant wait. I just want to give you a great big hug!!!!!
