Hi everyone,

I have only 2 more days of radiation to go which finishes this Friday and then my 2 daughters are taking me out for lunch to celebrate. I have been a bit tired this last week which was to be expected. I don't know if it is because of the treatment or all the Christmas shopping and looking after the grandkids over the weekend. My skin has held up quite well and I think that is because of the shark liver oil I have been taking. I am just a little sore under the arm but it is getting better each day.

Date for radiation

I now have my starting dates for radiation. The first appointment to set everything up is next Tuesday and then start the daily session on the 26th October so it will be all over a few weeks before christmas which will be a great christmas present.

Love to all  nellsbell

Decision Made

After seeing my oncologist on Thursday it was decided not to continue with the Taxol and I will move on to radiation in a few weeks so I hope that will give me a little time to recover. How long does it take to regain some energy after chemo ? I am trying to do some light exercise every 2nd day or so and hope to slowly regain some of my fitness.

With radiation how has anyone found the fatigue levels ?

I am having a lot of problems with restless legs and burning feet which are really bad at night, it's like having hot water bottles in my bed, so I rang my oncologist who I am seeing on Thursday and we have decided that I am going to miss next weeks dose of taxol till I have seen him next week and a decision will be made if I will continue with it or half the dose. I am leaning towards not to continue with it as  far as the doctor was concerned I am cancer free and this was just a precaution. Then I can move on to radiation and put it behind me and move on with life.

I am 57 and was diagnosed with DCIS grade 3 and invasive in April this year.Thank god it didn't get into the nodes.I have had 2 lumpectomies and 3months of chemo and am upto my 3rd week of Taxol. I am finding I am getting very tired with the Taxol and am considering not continueing with it.I still have 6 weeks of radiation to look forward to once the chemo is finished.I have been very positive and strong up until now and I wonder if there is anyone that could let me know about their experiences with Taxol.
