Just finished the final chemo just before xmas- feeling well now and ready to embrace good health. Radiotherapy next. What's people's experience of this. I have had a mastectomy so is it going to be different than if you had a lumpectomy? Less breast tissue impact the side effects? I would appreciate any advise- thanks Mouse

Just started my first chemo- travelling ok- the anticipation is just as scarey. Felt pretty sleepless and yuk after but day 2 is better. All this stuff certainly requires patience. Just spent the day lying in bed- can't remember when I was so decadent. I have been having seriously intense hot flushes since getting my mastectomy - anyone else in the same boat?? seems weird - had hysterectomy 3 years ago- and they weren't this intense- not mentioned the side effects of chemo

Healing well

Its now week three and I am getting used to my new lopsided look. Resting up getting well again only to have get sick again...just received phone call booking my chemo to begin next Wed. :(  I have to have 6 rounds. First 3 FEC followed by 3 Docetaxel. Learning all about the side effects ..suddenly becoming very real.

Unfortunately I am having a mastectomy this Friday after disappointing results from the pathology. So the past two weeks I have been healing and this week coming to grips that I have to do it all again. Nothing like standing in front of the mirror saying good bye to your boob! Nervous as but just taking one day at a time.
