i thought i had recovered well. a bit of lymphodeama but otherwise ok . i am now on long service leave after managing to work most of the time during chemo and radiation now it turns out  i have a tooth with a massive cyst non malignant they think . it has bcome infected and has eroded the bone in my face . quite dangerous they say. cant have operation untill at least the end of march.it also turns out that the chemo has made my thyroid not work very well so now on thyroxin. my good arm and back are also playing up resulting in trips to the chiropractor.

i was given some misinformation re the medication i would be taking after my treatment. i was told by a non medical person i would now be taking avastin, which has caused a stir in the USA. I have since been informed this is not the drug i would be taking iit is actually arimidex. I have started taking this and at his stage am not experiencing any thing too bad other than some hot flushes. I hope this has cleared up any misunderstandings  love to all jenny

I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in may. since I have had lump removed 4 rounds of chemo and 20 radiation treatments I then had both ovaries and fallopean tubes remove.

I am due to start Arimidex and would like to hear from any one taking it as there has been some publicity stating it had now been withdrawn in the US and drug administration are currently looking at withdrawing it here.
