Hi to all, I have now finished all my treatments and hair is slowly starting to return, all be it grey but I am sure when it is long enough I will be dying it lol.

After all my treatments I thought life would have to be finally on the improve, but oh no. Just when everything was going well I have lost my job.. was there 8 years and now I have to try and start again, as if this year has not been bad enough.

Nearing the end

Hello ladies, i am back finally. So much has happened since last time i was here, on the non BC side of things, i have turned 50 and finally after 42 years living here become an Australian Citizen. On the BC side of things i had a very bad reaction to the Docetaxel that was meant for the last 3 rounds of chemo, my hands look like they have been burnt, and they felt like they were on fire for a good few days as well, so bad was the state of my hands the oncologist said there was no way i could continue with that treatment so it is back to FEC for me.

half way through chemo

Hi all I am back again, it is day 3 after last round of FEC which means in 3 weeks time i move on to 3 rounds of Docetaxel so any words of wisdom on this next 4 rounds would be much appreciated. Seems a bit scary to me that they have you start your anti-nausia medication the day before the treatment.

Went for my first visit with radiation oncology the other day, that seems to be the next added bonus to this journey, they tell me not to wear a bra while getting radiation, but do they know how much the boob that had the surgery aches when not supported?? hmmm what to do.

I am back

Hello ladies,

I am back after a couple of weeks of self imposed computer free time, i thought the computer compounded my headache problems after chemo so gave myself some time off to see if it helped, unfortunately it didn't so next time i will just keep using the comp and hope that they change my medication to help with the headaches.

Anyway today i have a day off work for a good reason not more hospital and doctors appointment,, i get to go to the Look good feel better workshop that is being held at our local hospital, am really looking forward to it.
