Wondering if anyone else had a request from a ruthbaby!!!! I replied as I thought it must have been from someone I knew, but it was from someone in Africa, I received a very strange e-mail with a bit of a sad story but it was not at all appropriate or anything to do with breast cancer.

Can't help but wonder how she got onto our site she is 24 yrs old lost parents etc goes the story living with a minister etc. I am afraid I am going to deny the request and hope it isn't too late as I have answered the first e-mail. Hope I am not misjudging her, but got a bit freaked out.

Hi everybody out there I am back, just had 5 1/2 weeks away having radiotherapy, came home Tuesday and away again for the birth of my Grandson now I am the lucky grandmother of a G/daughter and G/son, Lacey and Jack.

Then home again for a couple of days then away again to see the Medical Oncologist, started on arimidex but away again to have a bone density test next Tuesday.

Looking forward to spending some time at home and getting the place back to looking like someone lives here and loves it, both inside and out!!!!

Hi girls, well I have had my second Taxotere and survived, the first week was not too good but recovered much faster than after the first cycle of Tax, once again the side effects keep coming, today the red patches are coming out day 9 after the dose, still waves of nausea and muscle soreness but getting there. One more to go, whoo hoo.

  • Hi everyone out there where ever you are, I had my first cycle of Taxotere on the 17th (12 days ago) after 3 cycles of FEC.
  • I think they lied!!!! they told me that the taxotere wasn't as bad as the FEC I am finding the side effects are many more, last longer and more severe but maybe my body isn't as tolerant as it was to start with.

Need Advice

Helpful Hint??

Hi I just wanted to let you know that I have found a product Biotene it comes in a toothpaste, mouth wash and also a mouth spray for dry mouth I have found it so much better than bi carb!!!!!

Also it helps to use a nail hardener, as I found that with the FEC my nails have become thin and very soft and started to peel.

And the funny side, the next cycle Taxotare can make the nails thick!!!!!!!

Neither of these things may be news to you all but maybe it just might help someone I hope as the dry mouth is so uncomfortable

Cheers

Hi everyone, sorry I have been a bit slack but I will bring you up to date with what has been happening with me, I have had 2 cycles of FEC and so far not too bad, the hair has gone! I have been having waves of nausea most of the time this time where after the first cycle only lasted for about the first week so hope it doesn't increase in length each time. I find the fluid retention one of the worst effects of it for the first few days afterwards.

Good Morning
