My story
A suspicious area was detected during a routine mammogram, a needle biopsy with ultrasound was carried out, the biopsy came back negative but my dr felt that the lump should be removed to be sure as he felt it was suspicious, I had a lumpectomy on the 10.1.11 it came back positive but the margins were not clear so on the 24.1.11 I had breast conserving surgery and 3 sentinel nodes removed, I am now waiting until Tuesday for the pathology results to find out what happens next.

Unusual
Wondering if anyone else had a request from a ruthbaby!!!! I replied as I thought it must have been from someone I knew, but it was from someone in Africa, I received a very strange e-mail with a bit of a sad story but it was not at all appropriate or anything to do with breast cancer.
Can't help but wonder how she got onto our site she is 24 yrs old lost parents etc goes the story living with a minister etc. I am afraid I am going to deny the request and hope it isn't too late as I have answered the first e-mail. Hope I am not misjudging her, but got a bit freaked out.
Here I Am Again!!
Hi everybody out there I am back, just had 5 1/2 weeks away having radiotherapy, came home Tuesday and away again for the birth of my Grandson now I am the lucky grandmother of a G/daughter and G/son, Lacey and Jack.
Then home again for a couple of days then away again to see the Medical Oncologist, started on arimidex but away again to have a bone density test next Tuesday.
Looking forward to spending some time at home and getting the place back to looking like someone lives here and loves it, both inside and out!!!!
Update
Hi there, well last chemo over and done just have to get through the side effects and then straight onto the radiotherapy starting 22/8 finishing on the 27/9 just in time for my second grandchild to arrive roughly on the 30/9 so something really terrific to look forward to.
Surviving
Hi girls, well I have had my second Taxotere and survived, the first week was not too good but recovered much faster than after the first cycle of Tax, once again the side effects keep coming, today the red patches are coming out day 9 after the dose, still waves of nausea and muscle soreness but getting there. One more to go, whoo hoo.
Hello
- Hi everyone out there where ever you are, I had my first cycle of Taxotere on the 17th (12 days ago) after 3 cycles of FEC.
- I think they lied!!!! they told me that the taxotere wasn't as bad as the FEC I am finding the side effects are many more, last longer and more severe but maybe my body isn't as tolerant as it was to start with.
