One Lump or Two?

One lump or two- hmmm.  Surgeon seemed to think a prophylactic (preventative) mastectomy was OK but the reconstructive surgeon looked a bit amazed at the idea.

My intial lumpectomy resulted in margins that were not clear and now mastectomy/ mastectomies will follow my chemo.

Keen to hear from both camps- were ladies happy with their decision to have a double mastectomy and reconstruction to avoid the trauma of possibly having to go through diagnosis and treament for a second time?

Getting Nervous

Have just read a blog about heartburn- no one has mentioned that to me yet!

I begin next chemo next week and despite lots of reading I feel I am in for a bit of a shock!  On top of hair loss, fatigue, nausea and  weight gain what else should I be prepared for?
