Counting chemo

A friend told me that at the start of her chemo, she put two glass jars on her kitchen windowsill. She counted up how many days her treatment would last in total, and put a bead for every day in one of the jars. Then every morning when she made a cup of tea, she'd move one bead into the other jar. Gradually, of course, the empty jar started filling up, and she could see how far she'd come. She said that having a visible record of getting through each day was really helpful.

If I were starting chemo now I think I'd do something like that. Just thought I'd pass it on.
