Well I have been waiting for the day that I could say this. . .I had my last chemo yestereday YAY!!! I am soooooooooo glad that it is over & after I go back today for my neaulasta needle I will walk out that chemo ward door for the last time!! I celebrated by going to our local Pancakes at the rocks it was yummy & a good thing to do while I still have my tastebuds. I am hoping that this one is the same as my last one as it wasn't to bad. I start rads at the end of the month for 5 weeks then it really will be all over with!

Well my first chemo is done, 1 down 5 to go!! The chemo treatment itself went ok & the nurses were wonderful & even got into the spirit of St Pats day by wearing green. I did develop nausea & diarrhoea later in the day/night & that was not good!! It did settle after I took some stuff for it & I felt a bit better the next day. The nausea appears to have gone away so far & I am eating small meals & drinking the required 2-3 litres of water/drink. I have had trouble sleeping but it hasn't been a restless sleep just dozing, waking, dozing, waking.

Hi all, I have been home now for a few days after my op - right mastectomy & axillary clearance. I had 20 lymph nodes removed & 12 contained cancer cells. The pathology report clases it as a stage IIIC due to the size of tumor & amount of lymph nodes removed. i will have chemo & radiation treatment & have an appointment with an oncologist in 2 weeks time. I was a bit shoked at the pathology report as they class it as an advanced cancer but am still hopefull of a positive outcome. The surgery went  well & I wasn't too sore afterwards.

Just wanted to say hi.

Hi everyone, i have just joined after finding out I have been diagnosed with early breast cancer. I am having a mastectomy to my right breast & might be having my lymph nodes removed. This is being performed next Tuesday. My experience began early in Jan when I noticed that my right breast appeared bigger than the left. I couldn't feel a lump but thought I would have it checked out. I made an appointment to see my Dr who then sent me for a mammogram & ultrasound.
