Went on that trip ladies - AWESOME!
Hi Ladies - well I did it! I took myself and hubby for that long awaited trip! One of the things that helped me get through the chemo, radiation and herceptin - was that I promised myself we would take that trip to Tasmania - well we did! It took a bit of a stand up toe-to-toe with my doc, but off we went!
Swollen area above portacath - any one have this problem
Hi Ladies,
I have just spent two miserable days of sheer terror!
I woke up the morning before yesterday and discovered a 'pea' like lump about three inches above my portacath - I freaked, hubby is away so I have had to sweat this out on my own - make matters worse, I don't drive so go figure for the rest of the story as you read on.
A Year On - and some people just don't care
Hi Ladies
Cant help myself, got to give you all a big chuckle
Well ladies, right now a few of you know I am very worried about my two gils - one soon to have a biopsy for breast cancer and my eldest daughter is being tested for thyroid and bowel cancer. So it would not come as a major shock to any one that yours truly hasn't got her 'mind on the job'.......................here's a perfect example!
Something about Christmas
Hi wonderful ladies! Merry Christmas to you all - gee I had to say it to myself a couple of days before Christmas - the year before last, my Mother passed away......last year I found out I had cancer - this year?
Something to make you chuckle!
I thought you all would appreciate these little gems to put a smile on your faces and lets face it - we can't have too much of that - after all laughter is the best medicine!
I must be getting better
Good day to you all my fine ladies! Well here I am off to another round of Herceptin tomorrow - I think it will be about the half way mark (keep losing track) any way, my children must think I am out of the woods because now they are giving me some serious curry. As most of you know I had to close my Facebook account for various reasons - and it appears I chose wisely - my second youngest son (the one who just got married) apparently dished out a serving of serious abuse aimed at me. So glad I didn't see it, my eldest daughter had informed me of the event.
Drawing a big fat line in the sand!
Hi My Pink Angels: I have drawn a big fat line in the sand. You see for starters, I have had my lovely grand daughter stay for three and a half weeks (her mother can't control her - so I was asked to take her....) Well I couldn't say no - I think it was meant I was to step in and wave a big stick - I haven't seen this kid for two years and believe me, THAT wasn't going to happen!
Now that I have hair, on my head I scratch it in wonder
Hi Pink Darlings - Now I have hair on my head I scratch it in wonder. I just answered a blog re 'frustrated with friends' and it really started me thinking. As you all are very much aware, this illness tends to create a lot of personal thought provacation (big words!) but it's true - I mean I have really taken a step back and started to work out the shite from the Shino - and there is an awful lot of the former!
