worse than waiting for a train!!!

Hi there Shaz, I guess one consolation is that they didn't say "come back tomorrow" !!!! .... and I guess you fasted from midnight too - what a bummer.

Glad the op went well, now you have to play the waiting game.  At least you are at home in your own space, with your family.

I know it's easy for me to say, but in the next few days try to keep busy (I don't mean catch up with housework or wash the windows ..... heaven forbid), just have some quality "you" time with family and friends, look after yourself and listen to your body - it will tell you what it needs.

Take care .....

Cheers ... Shirl

hate the wait

Hi Shaz,

You must have been starving by the time they took you for your op! Glad it went well and I guess you have a drain and a bag trailing around with you.The wait is hard and so is coming to terms with an altered body.I had a lumpectomy 7yrs ago and then 8mths ago had to have a mastectomy. So I got used to my breast disappearing bit by bit. When I first looked at my scar I was high on pain killers and I was surprised  at how ok I was about it.I hope you recover quickly and fingers crossed for good results next week.
