Just wanted to share with you all about Vitamin B6 for helping with fingernail or nail bed infections. My oncologist suggested that high doses of this vitamin can be helpful in controlling the deterioration of your nails . I have been on them for 2 weeks and i really think it is helping (i am still having some issues with my big toenails more than my fingers). My dose is 100mg x 3 times a day, plus there is some in a multi vitamin i have daily too.

Anyway, just thought i would share in so u can discuss with your medical team if u have similar issues

Sam :)

Whenever I am posting on here I always try to contribute in a constructive way..but not today, sorry people :(

I have just learn't this morning that a beautiful little boy has been diagnosed with soft tissue cancer (he is 7 and a mate of our boys) and the parents were just told last night that it is also in his bones. They are such a gorgeous family who have supported us throughout our turns and twists and we soooo want to be there for them. They are just devastated.

well, saw oncologist today and the brain MRI i had on friday showed a dramatic improvement since the one on 1/6/11. We don't know if it was the radiotherapy or the back up chemo drugs (i suspect and combination) which has led to this great result BUT WHO CARES??? It is working. We are going to stay on this pill regime of xeloda/tykerb as it seems to be working in regard to the rest of the body also.
