Hi Ladies,

Her funeral was attended by over 300 people which showed to me, how many she touched during her brief stay with us.

Hello Ladies,

Just thought I would update you all about the procedure. I was supposed to catch up with a surgeon on Friday 3rd February to discuss the procedure but the weekend before everything took a turn for the worse!

I ended up at the Austin on Saturday 28th Jan with terrible shoulder and neck pain.  Later that afternoon I was transferred over to Warringal.

These hiccups keep upetting me!  Got the results of my CT scan today and feeling really flat about it.  While it shows that the newer nodes have shrunk to about 1/2 the size (Yay) the pleural thickening has enlarged.  So I am off to see a thoracic surgeon on 3rd February to discuss having pleurodesis.  My onc says this would be better than having the chest cavity drained as the fluid may come back and I could end up having it drained over and over.  Pleurodesis is more permanent and tends to fix the problem with a better prognosis.  So it looks like surgery is

Hi Ladies,

Just want to wish everyone a Merry Xmas and a Happy New year.  I know some may not feel too much like celebrating but the festive season will still arrive so we must try and make the best of it.

I hope everyone is as well as they can be at this time and I hope and pray that everyone gets some better news next year.  I have my fingers crossed for myself and for everyone else out there.

Thank you everyone for your support throughout the year with advice and information on things I hadn't tackled at the time.  You are all so valuable to me.

Hi ladies,  went back to the Oncologist today and well it wasn't what I had hoped for.  One of the mediastinal nodes has grown to two inches while I have been on Aromasin.  Also my CT scan shows a pleural thickening on my left lung.
