my story from the beginning
Lying in bed on Wednesday 4th of July 2012 I was compelled to check my breast I felt something and thought… that 's weird. I touched wood a number of times but I still felt very worried and concerned as it just didn't feel right.
8/8/2012 post surgery appointment... results
I'm ok, still a bit sore, my chest & under my arm feels a bit tight and uncomfortable. The wound is healing well.
Had appointment with my surgeon Dr. Bochner yesterday. Some of the pathology had come back.
Results:
3/8/2012 surgery single mastectomy
Surgery went ok "as expected" Dr. Melissa Bochner my surgeon said. She didn't need to do a lot of digging around for my lymph nodes they were quite easy to find. She is happy with how it is all looking.
It has been a bit painful but not too bad. A weird feeling when the painkillers wear off of a pulling, uncomfortable tight feeling, plus a little stabbing pain if I move in way my body doesn’t want me to.
3/8/2012 the waiting
Had to be in the hospital at 8:30 and I had a scheduled test at 9:00 am to trace what lymph nodes the cancer was draining to so they would only take those nodes.
The waiting OMG the waiting, firstly for that test… I nearly ran out of that hospital, then after the test the waiting in my room till 4:30 Surgery was the worst.. Felt like climbing the wall but had lots of supportive people with me, which helped. Thank god for them.
two weeks of hell, more questions than answers….
I was referred to breast surgeon Dr. Melissa Bochner – so glad I went to her she is awesome.
