I was referred to breast surgeon Dr. Melissa Bochner – so glad I went to her she is awesome.
I had 3 appointments with her, a CT scan, bone scan, MRI & further biopsies. Every time I had an appointment she delivered more bad news the scans had showed up a lesion on my sternum and a tumor in my pancreas from the scan they look benign but chemo will show them for their true colours, so i'll need to have more scans in 3 months to track them. If they change they are cancer =-( if not they are benign and have always been there. i'm staying positive & hoping for the later. Also looks like I’ll have to have Radiotherapy too from these results.
Unfortunately all these tests confirmed the result I was most dreading & on the 31st of July DR. Bochner advised I would have to have a single mastectomy with some lymph nodes removed and she had booked me in for surgery on that Friday 3/8/12. I was devastated.
