BCNA Member Groups

BCNA Member Groups are support groups registered with our organisation. They form a diverse and vibrant support network in communities across Australia.

Each group is unique, providing its own form of peer support.

Many groups are made up of women who have experienced breast cancer. Most offer face-to-face support and companionship, some focus on providing information about breast cancer, and others enjoy coming together more informally.

We are a happy group of women who are here for peer support. Over a cuppa we enjoy a chat, remembering that what is said in group meetings is completely confidential. Ararat Breast Cancer Support Group.

There are also groups that participate in specific activities such as dragon boating or community fundraising or that focus on local or state advocacy issues.

Our motto is ‘Through Hell and High Water’. We feel this describes our various journeys, for we have all been touched by breast cancer in some way. We wanted more than survival, we wanted quality of life. Jennie, Amazons Perth Dragon Boat Club (WA)

There are currently over 310 registered Member Groups in our network.
