A few years ago now, I wrote a little book called Accepting With Grace – Mastectomy & Reconstruction, My Choice Before Breast Cancer.  It covers my journey of discovering that I was at increased risk of developing breast cancer, through evaluating options & then the actual surgery & recovery.

Treatment finished at last

I was diagnosed with tnbc in April this year, and after 7 months, treatment has finally finished! The feeling of freedom is amazing.  It was a case of putting one foot in front of the other, and taking one day at a time - I didn't look too far ahead, so that it wasn't too overwhelming.

Surgery Date

I have my surgery date.  The surgeon called this afternoon to say I'm booked in on Friday 4th March to have my left breast removed.....
