Hi Ladies,

Welcome to my post.  Yes I have been busy - It has been a year since I finished my radiation.  I just finished my last breast reconstruction ... ummm does feel good ... having two new grapefruit-sized breasts on my chest ... still have one more surgery to go ... needless to say .. "the cherry on top" :)

Build-in Bra Tank Top was my wardrode life saver

So from my personal experience, I had my single mastectomy with a tissue expander at the same surgery.  So I ask myself ...

Beauty and the Beast - infection risk during Chemo

During Chemotheraphy, your immune system is being taxed. Here are few of the practical things I've learned during my chemo time.

(Interestingly enough, I was a non-cosmetics user.  But because of chemo, I decided to practice the "Look Good ... may Feel BETTER" route.  However there are things to be aware of ...   Being a contact lensed wearer, I managed to catch a severe eye infection.  NOT FUN ... lots of anxiety and pain!)

Hi Girls,

Firstly, Welcome to our new Members - I hope we all can contribute a little and have a little fun here too.

I achieved my very first milestone last night.  I had my very first L-plate Stylists social night at my house with 10 gal friends.    This is just a test run for my "give back a little" project I had in mind since my chemotherapy.    The idea is that I will offer my services to ladies in POWH (nsw) who are going through cancer, and who would like to learn to be a L-plate stylist like me!

Hi Ladies,

Just got back from our family holiday with kids ... lucky me!!  If you are in chemo journey, make sure you plan a holiday / weekend away 3 weeks after your last chemo, because it time for you to celebrate!!  And if you are in the middle of your radiation treatment, do the same!   As one of my friend always say treat everyday like Christmas.   Also take advantage of the Aussie $$$$$$$$$$$ (wish I can pay my plastic surgeon in USD or Yens)

Know your face shape, match with the right hat/cap that flatters your face.

Hi Ladies,

Sydney has been freezing in the pass week, I went through my wardrobe and took all my hats out.  Don't have time to try them on at the time or look into the mirror with my young kids around.  But I am sure I "feel" gorgeous.

Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn - What are U?

It is time, I start to learn a bit about COLOUR THEORY.  This is an interesting topic, there are lots to learn.

As you read the reference articles, just IGNORE the hair comment - just remember BOLD is BEAUTIFUL.  (OR alternatively just have a laugh and imagine all the pics you see have Coneheads, remember the movies in the 90's. Come-on ... don't forget you are just waiting for the NEW hair follicle to develop)

Eyebrows shapes, dare to try something different?

Firstly, just want to remind you that  "You are still beautiful" so what ... you may be bold and hairless - Bold is Beautiful.  Look at all the new born babies!!

I was reading Better Homes and Gardens, Aug 2011, the beauty section is featuring eyebrow

"Get your brows shipshape and you'll lift your whole look - no Botox required!"  Yep ... agree.

The Beautiful Sunshine is back, SPRING is coming ... yeah

Ladies, it is time to show off your georgous face with a colorful hat.   Not the time to be shy, but time to shine.  Time to feel the Brightness of your soul and strength.   Put on bright red lipstic and checky earings to match that hat you have always wanted.  Spend big $$ on one must have hat that you will wear all Summer, then supplement it with cheaper ones that you might where occassionally & variety.

So it was Daffodil Day:

Hi all,

as I am to shortly start chemo I have been shopping for some cool looking hats, beanie's and will possible look at wigs as well.

The problem I am having is that as I wear glasses trying to find a hat that looks good (that isn't a sun hat) whilst wearing glasses is really difficult!
