After a longer than usual recall, wait to see the surgeon, then surgery - Tomorrow I see my surgeon for my pathology one week to the day since I had my wide local excision and sentinal node biopsy. Nervous much? Had a rather large meltdown tonight and a really good cry. Feel better. My husband god bless him held me, stroked my hair and said nothing. He's learning. He doesn't have to provide a solution. ( the 'must fix it' gene they all have) My girls are wonderful.

Tamoxifen

Does anyone who has taken Tamoxifen suffer from thickening of the lining of the uterus?

Apparently Tamoxifen can cause this and I have to have a D&C next Tuesday to have a sample taken to check if all is OK.

First chemo today!

Hi everyone

Had my bilateral mastectomies yesterday with Sentinel Node Biopsies - all clear. Now I know what it feels like to win the lotto and then some. Even if it was with a truck parked on my chest. I was so happy I cried. I am so grateful yet feel horribly guilty to be so lucky. My best wishes and strength go to those fighting a much tougher battle than I.

I am feeling quite dizzy and nauseas at times but so relieved to have this surgery over. I am petrified of surgeries so to have this one down is fantastic.

My Oncologist is away at the moment on holidays and the oncology nurse has advised me to stop taking the tamoxifen as it may not agree with me.

Hello my lovelies. I have been keeping an online journal of my thoughts, feelings and experiences.
It's pretty raw but feelings I'm sure we all can relate to.
Big hugs and love to all xxx

Hi girls

I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't happening to me.  I had my 2 Dex tabs at 2pm as instructed and I will have to have 2 more  in the morning before my chemo tomorrow.  I think this is to help alleviate me having a reaction to Taxotere??.
