Dragons Abreast Australia National Paddle Day

The ACT community joined Dragons Abreast groups across the country, from Darwin to Melbourne to celebrate the inaugural Dragons Abreast National Paddle Day on 2 October and mark the start of Breast Cancer Month.Our local ACT Dragons Abreast group held a ‘come and try’ dragon boating session at Lotus Bay Yarralumla with warm ups, paddling, morning tea and free massages.
Dragons Abreast Australia is a national Registered Charity that enables breast cancer survivors to get on with life after treatment through the fun, fitness and camaraderie of dragon boating together

Come and try dragon boating with Dragons Abreast ACT on Sunday 19 February 2012, meeting at 9am at Lotus Bay, Mariner Place Yarralumla, just near the Yacht Club. Wanting to get on with life after a breast cancer diagnosis? Then we would love you to join us , paddling for fun, fitness and cameraderie on beautiful Lake Burley Griffin.
We welcome new members of all sizes, shapes and levels of fitness are welcome. Not only do we paddlle, but we have lots of social activiities as well such as picnics on Springbank Island, coffee, parties and home and away regattas.
We hold regular Come and Try sessions and the first 3 paddles are free.
